Northwest Ohio Vision Center has been operating in downtown Bryan, Ohio for nearly 75 years. The practice was started by Dr. Frederick W Richardson in 1939. In 1976 Dr. Keith Woodard joined the practice followed by Dr. Robert Hill in 1993. In 1995 Dr. Thomas Olnhausen merged his practice with Northwest Ohio Vision Center where he continued to see patients until his retirement in 2012. In 1998 Dr. Tara Richmond joined Northwest Ohio Vision Center.
Northwest Ohio Vision Center is pleased to offer a wide range of optometric services, eye care products including eyeglasses, specialty eyewear, frames, and contact lenses. Our staff is happy to help however we can. Our team of eye care professionals is experienced and friendly. We’re here to help all patients understand their benefits, schedule appointments, and fulfill their eye doctor’s orders. Our opticians can give you guidance in picking out your perfect pair of eyewear, and our friendly office staff is knowledgeable about billing and benefits coverage.
Doctor Robert L. Hill, O.D.
Dr. Robert Hill received his Doctor of Optometry degree from The Ohio State University in 1992. He is also an alumnus of Bowling Green State University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree. Upon returning to Williams County he joined Dr. Woodard and Dr. Richardson in practice in 1993.
Dr. Hill is therapeutically licensed to treat all diseases of the eye including glaucoma and infectious diseases and is certified to co-manage cataract and LASIK surgery.
He enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons. He is an avid snowmobiler and Ohio State fan.
Doctor Tara L. Richmond, O.D.
Dr. Tara Richmond graduated summa cum laude from The Michigan College of Optometry at Ferris State University in 1998. She is also an alumnus of the Defiance College where she received her Bachelor of Science degree with honors. Returning to Williams County in 1998, Dr. Richmond proudly joined Northwest Ohio Vision Center where she has been caring for patients ever since.
Dr. Richmond is therapeutically licensed to treat all diseases of the eye including glaucoma and infectious diseases and is certified to co-manage cataract and LASIK surgery.
She has been married to her husband Cory for 18 years. They have 3 children; Maddie, Easten, and Jaxon.
Doctor Keith A. Woodard, O.D.
Dr. Woodard received his Doctor of Optometry degree from The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 1974. He served in the United States Air Force, two as Chief of Optometry at Loring Air Force Base in Limestone, Maine. In 1976, Dr. Woodard joined the practice which Dr. Frederick W. Richardson started in 1939. He reduced his involvement in the practice in 2006 and is working less but enjoying it more.
Dr. Woodard is therapeutically licensed to treat all diseases of the eye including glaucoma and infectious diseases and is certified to co-manage cataract and LASIK surgery.
He enjoys spending time with his wife, 3 daughters, and 6 grandchildren. His hobbies include boating, fishing, and woodworking.
Amanda is an optician at Northwest Ohio Vision Center. She has been with our office since 2014. She spends most of her time working in the optical gallery where she specializes in frame and lens selections. She enjoys helping our patients select frames that best compliment their facial structure and fit their personality and is an expert in customer service. Amanda has a real passion for making all patients happy with their entire optical experience. In her spare time, Amanda enjoys spending time with her family, playing softball, and attending her kids sporting events.
Amanda has been in the optical field for 7 years. She joined our practice in 2016. Amanda assists the doctors by gathering information before they see the patient. She also performs special tests to help the doctors diagnose vision problems. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends.
– Insurance Coordinator
Clarissa has been with our practice since 2004. She is the insurance coordinator and would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have about your insurance benefits. In her free time, she and her family enjoy participating in local sporting events.
– Optometric Technician
Heather has been with our office since 2010, but has had extensive training and experience over the past 18 years as an optometric technician, using her Associates of Optometric/Ophthalmic Technology Degree to its full potential. She performs preliminary testing on our patients and gathers health and history information before they are examined by the doctor. Heather also performs many specialized procedures to help the doctors diagnose wide array of vision and eye health conditions. When not at work she enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Janis has been with our office since 2014. She is usually the first and last person you see in our office. She is always smiling and willing to help our patients in any way she can. Outside of work, she enjoys attending her children’s sporting events and cooking dinners for her family.
Kirby has been with Northwest Ohio Vision Center since 2010. She makes the doctors more efficient putting to use her degree in Associate of Applied Business in Medical Office Support while acting as their scribe. Kirby enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, other family, and watching baseball.

Misty has been our lab technician since 2004. Her job is behind the scenes but she is the person that places your orders with the lab.

Sue has been a part of our office since 1991. She is usually the first and last person you see in our office. She is always happy, patient, and willing to help. Outside of work, she loves traveling with her husband and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
